Different types of cannabis will get you a different high, varying on intensity, duration and usage methods, amongst other factors.
If you don’t mind smoking weed (the traditional way to ingest cannabis), opt for joints, pipes and bongs. These methods are great if you are looking for a quick, short term high. Given the smoking nature, consuming cannabis this way comes with the smell and will have long term effects on your lung health. As with anything, moderation is key with this method.
If you are looking for a more mellow, odorless option, vapes are always great.
If you are looking for a slow building, but longer trip, edibles would be the way to go.
BUT if you are looking for that lasting high, that is not only stronger, but also hits quickly, a little DAB could do you well.
What are Dabs?
Dabs—also referred to as wax, shatter, amber, honeycomb, or budder—are super-concentrated versions of butane hash oil, which contains highly concentrated levels of THC. This concentrated substance is produced through a chemical process using butane oil to extract the oils from the cannabis.
Dabs are pretty much the quickest way to get stoned right now, taking you from sober to stoned in seconds! They’re the best option for getting that THC quickly into your body.
How is it done?
Dabbing is done by dropping a small amount of the substance on a hot surface, heating it to an extremely high temperature, allowing it to vaporize and inhaling it. The flavorful and potent vapour is then sucked through a glass pipe that functions much like a traditional bong. Dabbing can also be done through a vape pen, which is quite popular amongst the younger crowd.
It’s a smooth, sweet, and lemony substance, with no harshness on inhale, often times feeling better in the lungs than a regular old bong hit. A well-made dab is also considered to be traditionally cleaner and therefore stronger, as they’re free of plant matter.
How much higher?
For comparison, potent flower may contain up to 30 percent THC, whereas dabs can be up to 90 percent and sometimes more. At minimum, dabs are as much as four times stronger than a joint. People who dab experience an intense high all at once, rather then the high gradually building over time.
All summed up: Dabbing will get you really fucking high.
The bottom line:
The quickest and longest high one can get right now is through dabbing. But like everything, there are risks involved. As always, we encourage you to do your own research to ensure dabbing it is right for you.
